While in a lull from the activities of buying & selling a house, we were able to enjoy a long holiday weekend with good friends. Ralph and Mandy brought all 3 girls, and Madison, the youngest, had a great time on our canoe trip. Looks like she's doing the paddling while Ralph & Mandy enjoy the ride! Kip had a blast in his kayak, while Lon & I shared a canoe, and did NOT capsize... (see last Labor Day)
I thought the water would be freezing cold, but it was refreshing, and still high enough from the spring rains and run-off to make tubing abd canoeing fun. Later in the year we'll be bumping our butts on the rocks as we go over the rapids. As usual, everyone had a wonderful, relaxing time, and look forward to the next long weekend in WV.
