7-7-07 is supposed to be a lucky date for a wedding. It seemed to be the case
today. The groom is from India, and the bride is from Ireland. You might think the reception would be awkward, but the opposite was true. There was no "these people" sit at this table and "those people" sit at that table, and eye each other warily from across the room. Both sets of parents mingled and socialized like old friends, danced to each other's music, and had a great time. Here's a rare picture of Lon and me together... dressed nicely, even!

It's funny how we get pictures of either him and the kids or her and the kids but usually not both. We were just looking at the last picture we took with all four of us ~ Riley was right under my shoulders and now's he less than half an inch shorter than me!
I know what you mean...the first and only formal portrait we had done of the 3 of us was 2-3 years ago, and I can't think of the last casual picture anyone took of us. As for our sons being almost as tall as us, Kip had a bit farther to go, right? ha ha.
